The problem with politicians is that, unfortunately, they don’t always act in the best interests of society as a whole. Sometimes the special interests of large corporations—which can afford to pay lobbyists or fund a particular candidate’s campaign—turn out to be more important. Even if those same politicians recognize the problem and share those concerns themselves.
Therefore, the only way to bring about rapid change is to clearly and unequivocally inform decision-makers that the lives and futures of our children and grandchildren are more important to all of us than billions of dollars and the futuristic vision of the future pursued by a handful of ultra-wealthy individuals in Silicon Valley. We must unite—both at the national level and globally—and then tell politicians a resounding NO.
We must put pressure on politicians to halt research into the development of autonomous AI.
But how can this be done?
We are currently developing comprehensive strategies that will allow us to exert sufficiently strong pressure on policymakers at the national level—taking into account each country’s specific characteristics, culture, and legal and political conditions. These are unconventional strategies, but ones with proven effectiveness (and, of course, absolutely legal).
But to put them into practice, we need You: your voice and your help. Without you, nothing will work out. And no—this is no joke. Every society is made up of individuals—teachers, plumbers, doctors, and scientists. And each of these people has a voice that every politician must take into account as election time approaches. We are the ones who hire them, pay them—and can fire them at any moment. That’s why we have a request for you: if you believe this issue is important—and that the only way to stop this madness is through strong resistance from the entire society—join us. Leave your email address—and we’ll contact you at the right time and ask for your help. We’ll ask for your vote in a specific, legal form. A voice that, when combined with the voices of others, can gain real, sufficiently great power.
So—will you join what may be the most important resistance movement in human history?
